It is representing a Bavarian Regimental Beer Stein Ingolstadt supply unit Könglich Bayerisches Train Bataillon Compagnie 191/1. A porcelain beer stein with lithophane of King Ludwig II in the bottom, transfer printed and hand-painted, not personalized. Cast pewter lid with small imperial eagle. Apparently an old mold of pre 1886 was used to slip cast the porcelain.

Measures about 12 high to top of soldier's head. 1 Gerolfing was part of the outer belt of the state fortress Ingolstadt, built in 1890-92, it was blown up in 1945. The 3rd Bavarian Train (meaning is "supply unit") Department was formed on 1 October 1900 as a transport and supply unit of the 3rd Bavarian Army Corps. During the First World War, a total of 26 officers, as well as 523 non-commissioned officers and crews, were killed. Lid opens and closes great.
